EXPLORE EGLINTON TRAILS
Eglinton (formerly known as Muff) is a historic plantation village 6miles from Derry~Londonderry. Since it was founded in 1619 the village has grown in size and population. Throughout its history Eglinton has always had a strong community spirit.
In 2020 during the Covid-19 'lock-down' the first Eglinton Trail was produced to give families an opportunity to get outside and explore the village. Following the success of this trail the Eglinton Annual Show organised a very popular Scarecrow Trail in lieu of their cancelled village show. It was clear that the residents enjoyed these trails so expect more trails in the future.
The next trail will take place during December. Follow this link to find out more. CHRISTMAS TRAIL
During the Halloween week many local families enjoyed an interactive trail around the village.
Following the map they found hidden clues and then using a QR scanner they were able to reveal mystery letters. Once they had found all 10 letters they unjumbled them to work out a spooky Halloween word. To reward them for all their hard work they could take their completed trail map to Ethical Weigh to pick up a free bag of sweets.
